With all the recent goings on we've obviously lost momentum on some of the good initiatives that were nicely taking shape - posters, community engagement etc.

Hopefully once a more formal supporters group is established the majority of these can be picked up again. In the meantime, however, it seems extremely bad timing to not have any fixture posters about the town just as the new season is about to start. How do we feel about trying to kick start this again??

I'm not sure if there was a definitive distribution list, but if not it would be a great start to try and piece together where they were being placed and who from the club was putting them up etc. We can then use that as a basis to get these going up again. If we can source the posters I'm happy to write them all out and arrange to get them to our 'volunteer' distributors!

So if you were involved previously (or want to get involved and know of a new location) then could you please post on here the details and we'll try and get a full list established. Clearly be ideal to get this done ahead of the the Egham match.

Many thanks and welcome any alternative ideas.

I presume you have cleared this with the club?

If not, no matter how well intended your gesture is, you could be set for the naughty step.

I collected a batch of blank match day posters today from the club, after speaking to TOD about the issue last Saturday. Kevin (Holly's dad) has taken some to cover the 4 venues he normally delivers to, and I have the rest for the town businesses that are supporting us. I will fill them in and get delivered in the next 2 days.

They include

Jenny's cafe
Crystal Dry Cleaners
The Old Crown
Nick's Hairdressing for Men
The Brunch Time Cafe

Well that's really good news and thanks to you and Kevin for getting this active again. If you need any help just shout, otherwise we can discuss any potential expansion when we meet.

As others have already said well done for your efforts.

I'm sure it will be welcomed by the club; you may even get an appreciative e-mail!

We have another business supporting the club, by displaying match day posters
Quite a few of you will know Julie and Graham, who ran the club house at Church Road. Since leaving Sainsbury's before the summer, they have bought their own business and now run the tea/burger place in the Hayes Working Men's car park. The business is called Jules Cafe and will be open 7am - 2pm Mon - Sat.

It was good to see them both at the match today, and they have taken some match day posters to advertise our games.

I wish them the very best with the cafe.
