Looks like it’s going to be Rushden & Diamonds. Currently 3-0 up with not long left (according to their Twitter)

They will bring a few (hopefully to the Bar!) should be our best gate so far. Fingers very much crossed our players are up for it as I’m sure R&D will be looking for revenge after last season’s games!
Oh for a decent Cup run!

Bar will open from 13-00 if not earlier! Please pop in, I would hate for us to be outnumbered in the Bar!

I’ll be “chilled” but I don’t think Real Ale is supposed to be? Plenty of Cold ones in the Fridges though! Cheers :drinking

Go to the Freemont area today. It is real blast, especially on a Saturday.

2-1 win.

First time I ever saw Hayes was a 1-2 defeat to Rushden in 1997, and in all that time (until today obviously) I don't think Hayes / HYU have ever beaten a side from a higher division out of the FA Cup.

So a very sweet victory indeed.

A good win against a mid-table side from the league above. Hayes looked better than the one goal victory would suggest. The current team would not be out of place challenging in the league above in my opinion.

A very strong bench, must be a challenge for the manager to keep those players happy who don't get into the first 11 but I hope they'll be patient, their time will come over a long hard season.

Conference South teams are in the draw on Monday. I think I'd prefer a lower team who we stand a better chance of beating in the hope of a longer run, but if not then Torquay away wouldn't be bad!

£6K in prize money yesterday plus an excellent 50/50 and bar take - is that enough to get the official tea bar open?

Just seen the highlights it looks like Hayes were far superior to Rushen once again. A soft penalty spoilt the end.

Still in vegas our winnings will buy some decent shin pads.

Fulham, Cardiff, Brighton, Bournemouth, Peterborough, great away days. 4th Q Round virtually every year. Those were the heady days.

The FC Video guys uploaded a few club classics a few years ago with some of these.

There are some others lurking on youtube from the late 90's that I was far too young to appreciate at the time but may bring back great memories for some.

The draw at Halifax - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLJ1errdcjI

The 5-0 defeat at Rushden - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkGPWpCjDAc (Yeah we lost 5-0 and they had loads of money, but we finished ABOVE them)

There's also various videos of our 2nd round tie with Hull City the following season when home v Chelsea was the prize.

Yeading lost 2-0 to Newcastle in the 3rd round at Loftus Road in the 3rd Round proper and lost 5-0 to Nottm. Forest in the 1st Round proper.
