Tried to fill in the details required 3 times!! doesn't let you submit, given up and hopefully we can get in by good old pen & paper.

Just enter your name / phone number / email address in to the app. That's all you have to do for now.

When you get to an event (in our case the big match at Uxbridge) then you scan the QR code they will have available. Your phone then registers you as being present at the event.

It's a bit confusing that you enter your details then it asks you to scan or enter a code. You just don't do the code / scanning bit until you get to an event.

Just heard about the game. Does the above mean that people like me (without a mobile) are not able to go? I assume that this app is to help with track and trace. Surely a manual method, can also be made available for registration as well?

Just wondering, did people get the App to work?

Unfortunately Lebara (my cheapo mobile network) chose Saturday to be down so I had to resort to ye olde pen and paper.

Looks like a good idea to speed things up if it works.

Mine worked fine but not easy to see due to the Sunshine! Uxbridge certainly did a good job with all the COVID Rules, hope we do the same at our first home game!

I thought it worked really well, registered my details before going to the game and then at the game opened the App and scanned the QR code that UFC displayed and immediately got a "Welcome to Uxbridge Football Club" on my phone.

On leaving I just clicked Checkout.

I believe we are also going to be trialing the same app so once initially registered you only have to "scan and go" each visit.

Great, and good to hear the club will be giving it a go too.

I'll second the comment that Uxbridge did a fine job in their organisation, not easy for the first match.

On the field, all our established players looked reassuringly on-form. Joe Grant impressed me, Bay Downing will give us an attacking threat on the right. Danny Pappoe could complement Donners to form a solid heart to the midfield. Trialist K had some good touches and of the substitutes Romey Meoded stood out for me.

A few nervy moments from the trialist 'keeper but that's the peril of the position. You can get a lot right and it's those slips you're remembered for. Too early to judge him, with Delroy coaching and working on the weak points he could do a job between the sticks. Rather mobile sticks at Uxbridge too with the training-pitch goals.

The fast slick passing game came together for a few moves and we cut through the Uxbridge defence when it did but more of that as the start of the season approaches I hope. While the surface of Uxbridge's pitch looked good it does have undulations of hills and valleys which may have not helped in that area.

Football's back, we won, the team's coming together, I don't seem to have been infected, happy days!
