Describes the club accurately and fairly.

Hopefully the team can raise themselves for this game. It will be difficult with no fans and no choir led by the choirmaster Janet.

We have a chance it is the FA Cup and it will be great to pull off a shock. It is a long time since Hayes have beaten league opposition and will be a great reward for TOD, Dev and all the other volunteers who give their time for nothing to the club, along with all the long suffering fans who stayed faithful through the difficult times.

Cannot wait for Sunday

Being the home team for Sunday I heard we have to cover Carlisles expenses, coach hire for two days plus mileage and overnight stay for squad and management. This will wipe out a very large chunk of our fa and tv money, probably as much as. £5,000 plus, true or false?.

Effectively travel and accommodation costs of the away club are split between home and away clubs.

The rules say that the clubs split the "net gate receipts" where net gate receipts are gate receipts less VAT less a whole bunch of expenses for home and away sides. Those expenses include travel and accommodation costs of the away club.

For this match net gate receipts will clearly be negative!

See Section 22 here.

A fair assessment and only one error in the article.
