I want to upload photos to message boards, I used tinypic years ago.
Is there a better less fiddly method available now?

I use tinypic myself.

I agree it's fiddly; unfortunately, I am unaware of any alternative.

It’s been so long ago now I’ve forgotten some of the proceedings - can you supply a ‘walk-through’ to refresh my aged brain?

Ray, Ive used https://imgbb.com/ for a while now. Easy, free and simple if you want to upload one image at a time and not much more work (and still free) if you want to do multiple image uploads.

Steps:

Go to: https://imgbb.com/

Click big blue "start uploading" box

Find the image you want to post and select it (double click it or select it then hit "open)
-If you want to upload multiple images at once, then once the first is selected and uploaded click above the preview where it says "your computer" which will open up a window for you to select more pictures.

If you want to get snazzy and resize it or choose to delete it after a set period of time click the little pencil item on the image and it gives you a load of options
- Make sure you hit "submit" if you do make any tweeks

If you just want it uploaded with no alterations then hit the green "upload" button

Few seconds and the image will upload. In the "Embed codes" drop-down select either "BBCode full linked" or "BBCode thumbnail linked". This will create a link in the box below.

When you move your mouse pointer into the box with the link there is a button that appears on the right hand side the says "copy". Click that and you're nearly done.

Return to this forum and paste the link into the message and you're done (hopefully)

Below is the results (of a single upload)

Thumbnail linked:

Full linked:

In both cases you can click on the image to go to the website with the full size version on it....although in this case the smaller one I've set to auto delete so you should no get a picture when you click on it.

Any issues or need more help, please shout back. I look forward to seeing what you're going to post

Also, just for info I've removed your personal email address from your post mate. Unfortunately spam bots scour most forums (including this one) and harvest email address details to then sell onto spammers. To hopefully stop that I've removed it for you. If you want to send your email addy to someone I suggest a Private Message :)
